The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Community Walks, held in hundreds of cities across the country, are the core of the Out of the Darkness movement, which began in Like so many others, our CCN family has been impacted by suicide loss.

We encourage you to register or join a team today, and help our community take steps to safeguard our mental health and prevent suicide. Thank you, Patrick, for all you do for the Capstone College of Nursing! Patrick has so many gifts that he shares with all of the students and faculty. He enjoys baseball, music, and has an artist's eye to fix any askew visual project.

Patrick also chronicles the history of the college through photography. He is diligent to solve IT problems and knows all the common glitches of Blackboard. In the 18 years when we have worked together, he has been a bright spot at the college at every encounter. So grateful to have him as a valuable resource at the college. While enrolled at CCN, their precious 4-year-old, Libby Claire, was diagnosed with stage four high-risk neuroblastoma. Our foundation, Libby's Light Shines, has ongoing events and fundraising which we use to support the local families in the Wiregrass area who are currently in the battle with their child.

We hope that sharing this story about members of our CCN family will help spread awareness for Childhood Cancer, a cause that remains a central focus for the Rushings and all those who knew and loved their Libby Claire.
