Is it possible to do 2 masters at the same time

Lindau faced the same problem. Both Bartsch and Lindau agree that as long as you are committed, following two masters at the same time is doable. However, the workload is significant.

But grades do not have to suffer under the workload. Considering the workload of two full time master programs, the question remains if there is any time for anything but studying. You should be careful as your scoring in both the courses can be affected by this ambitious planning. Many people do part time job along with their higher education but the job pressures sometimes makes a toll on the scoring in the examination.

Today, if your scoring is not good you will not be having bright potential for the jobs. For campus recruitment you require an extraordinary scoring. These points are to be considered before going for two courses simultaneously that is one in regular mode and one in correspondence mode.

It is good to be ambitious but not on the cost of losing merit. You have to see your past educational career and also examine your present status before going for dual courses during the same time frame.

Points: 2. Doing two-degree courses or PG courses simultaneously is not allowed as of now in our country. But you can do one course in regular college and another course by distance degree mode is allowed.

One should be a degree, the other can be a certificate course. You can do MBA in a regular mode in a college. Even you can do the MA course by distance mode. Points: 5. Possibilities are endless and so is it is applicable with your studies.

Actually a single course can be persued in the regular mode and probably such a restriction has been imposed so that an aspirant can devote full time attention to the course already selected. Shifting of concentration may impact the performance of the selected course and so to that extent restriction in the selection of two courses is quite justified. Now in regard to your query - persuing a MBA course in the regular mode and undertaking M. A in personnel Managemant through the distance mode is sustainable or not my response is yes it is possible.

Now how far you can justify of continuation of such courses would depend upon your labour, patience and after all the interest for such courses. You will have to allocate sufficient time so as to pass the courses in a dignified way. If you are doing a job in a part time, you will have to discharge your duty as well and continuation of your studies apart from your job will tax you heavily causing mental frustration if you don't handle the issues with the proper planning.

And am now considering options for masters studies. Now i know that in Germany i can study two masters simultaneously and it generally does not matter too much if i need say three years to complete both instead of the two years advocated.

Now is it possible to enroll in two master degrees simultaneously in France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark or other countries fullfilling the criteria? I will answer with respect to Sweden; as far as I know it can be technically possible but in practice, not really Let's expand on this a bit; again, AFAIK, it is not possible to be enrolled to two different masters programs in the same faculty.

At least it was not possible when I was in the uni. You could try and apply to two different programs at different faculties of the same university. This may work, I am not sure if there is a national regulation on that. I would guess that it's handled by individual university administrations.

The last option is of course applying to two different programs at two different universities, so different legal entities. You could try to get into University of Gothenburg and Chalmers for two different programs for example.

I think, you are asking about applying and then studying for a second same masters degree. Because a student may be free to apply for a degree, but the admissions office will reject his profile as he is currently student else where. Answer to your question depends on the educational system of the country and universities policies too.

In some countries, studying simultaneously in two universities and majors is prohibited and graduate students are only allowed to study in their own university. Also, I have seen many universities asking students whether they are currently students or not, because they seek full time students not part time ones. However, I have seen that some students with outstanding grades and educational background can apply a minor very close to their field in their own university but it was for bachelors level only.

Also, you may find a university which accepts students seeking for double major; but the university in which you are currently studying may not agree to you to study a second major when you are their students.

As a general advice, double check the regulations of both universities and the countries in which you want to study simultaneously. Yes, it is possible.

I have had a master's degree in CS from my home country and then applied for a second master's degree in an interdisciplinary program but my research was still focused on CS in order to be able to eventually immigrate and settle in the US. Your best bet is to first secure a professor who is willing to be your supervisor as it will make the whole process easier. As with your second question, I think it is a better use of time to find a research assistant staff position rather than applying for a second master's.

I saw a lot of professors at top US universities with two master's degrees though usually immigrants with their first master's from their home country and I don't think it is THAT unusual to do so.
